It is not anyone at INZ who has an opinion about medical matters. A medical with any abnormality is delegated to the Medical Assessors - people with specialist knowledge - to understand.

Can't speak to what INZ will decide. But I am hep B "positive" without any active infection. And I was granted a resident visa. Unless a person has a weakened immune system due to something like HIV, you can't get re-infected in hep B. Fingers crossed your wife will be approved.

    Hi,
I’m an inactive hep b carrier and is healthy. Can I also attach on my documents to be submitted the letter or certificate from our doctor that I have no active infection and is fit to work? Would that help on our visa application and could support on my medical exam which will for sure shows that I’m hep b positive? Would really appreciate your thoughts/comments on this.
