Avoid the time between mid-November and the beginning of February, because, during the Christmas/New Year holiday and the schools' long summer break that goes on after that time, most NZ workers try to get their summer vacations, which means that businesses are on skeleton staffing, and the whole senior staffing team who make appointments may well not be available at the same time. For this reason, firms will not be starting the recruitment process in the run-up to Christmas if they can help it.

Well, no time is guaranteed to produce a job. But if you bear in mind that the interview and appointment process would need to be complete before mid-December, that gives you an idea to work from.

In my experience Aug/Sep is good time as organisations try to close hiring before Christmas shutdown. I landed 3 jobs in past during this time frame only. But as JandM mentioned no time is guaranteed to produce a job it depends on lot of other factors rather than time of the year. wish you all the best.

I believe the worst time is December and January
