    Default SMC offshore timeline

Hi All,I’ve got really useful info from this forum .today my co has sent mail that my assessment completed and given the SMC job search form and to send passport for stamping .
I’ve one clarification..abt idea of how long the stamping takes to return my passport back ?the reason is I’ve been offered the job and waiting for offer letter .so I need to inform my employer based on the estimate time line of my stamping to arrive NZ.

    Below is my timeline :

    EOI submitted-Dec 17
    ITA invitation-Jan 18
    Final visa submitted-Apr 18
    Co contacted -5 Jul 18
    Original doc request- 9Jul 18
    Submitted doc 12 Jul 18
JSV visa form /req for stamping - 31 July 18

There is no 'normal' time for this. As with most things with INZ, things go in date order, and time passing will be spent by your paperwork waiting in the queue behind however many cases are there when yours arrives.

Has anyone recently done this, to give an idea of how timing is running just at the moment?

    Congratulations on the job offer.

I see ..thanks JandM .the reason is my employer requested to be in NZ to start the work by oct tentatively. My concern is if this takes longer time for stamping at this stage and after my passport being submitted, what’s the alternative as somehow I need to get JSV stamping as well before it expires within 3 months .

I got my passport back with a JSV within 2 weeks of sending it away. This was back in April-May, and it wasn't an e-visa. It took them a few days to put a label in my passport, but they posted back straight away after that.

Thanks for the information.just a question, they have asked to submit the summary of travel arrangements .does it mean to give them accommodation & flight tickets as we can’t decide the date at this stage .

I wasn't asked to provide evidence of travel arrangements. I was only asked for evidence of funds, for which I provided bank statements. I bought a (one-way) flight ticket after I got my passport back.
