Here is my timeline
Hi all - I got this email from a Senior Immigration Officer
"This is to advise you that your application for residence under Skilled Migrant Category has been assigned to me for assessment.
I have reviewed the file and will require the following additional information......"
Does that mean she is my CO? Will she be the one contacting my employer?
Normally do COs send out employer questionnaire same time they contact the applicant?
Do COs copy me (i.e. the applicant) into the email they send to my employer?
As I've got an immigration adviser who acts on behalf of me, I dont have access to my online status on the website. I want to check the status myself, how can I do that?
Much appreciated
Probably yes and yes.Does that mean she is my CO? Will she be the one contacting my employer?
Not necessarily. There is no set order for a CO to follow when processing an application.Normally do COs send out employer questionnaire same time they contact the applicant?
No. There will be very likely be many checks that the CO does which involve contacting third parties - they're talking ABOUT you, not TO you, and you won't know about these. Most applicants find that long periods of apparent 'silence' from their CO are the norm. This doesn't mean that nothing is happening. Be assured that the CO will contact you IF there is any information or explanation s/he needs from you.Do COs copy me (i.e. the applicant) into the email they send to my employer?
Many people wish they could know every step the CO takes. This is not possible. Until the final answer, the applicant's status is 'pending', or, from the INZ call centre, 'still with the CO', most of the time, until near the very end, just possibly, 'with the second-person check'.
