    Default Incorrect condition for SMC

I applied for SMC in Feb 2017, off-shore without job offer. 13 months later I got a JSV (no problems on my application), which I took and got a job within 2 weeks of arriving in NZ. Now I got AIP letter stating that I have to stay in that job for 12 months. I don't have a problem with staying in this job for a lot longer than that, but I understand this condition is incorrect as I didn't claim points for employment or employment outside Auckland.

How should I go about complaining about this decision? Should I just go back to the case officer or should I lodge a formal appeal? (I had a case officer for the original SMC, then another one after I submitted employment details to convert JSV to residence.) Please share if you have similar experience.

    Thanks

There is no harm letting the officer know wrong condition was imposed. INZ made mistakes all the time.

How you handle it? Managed to change the condition to 3 months or still remain 12 months.
My case also stated 12 months
