    Default Resident visa offshore

Hehe I am here again after several declined visa to visit my wife few years ago .
So I and my wife has been living together now for roughly 2 years and few months now and now we want to apply for a residence visa offshore by January. We not actually in a haste but I have little doubts ... how do one prepare a chronological letter should pictures be attached explaining events e.t.c? And on the form it says tick if you are a nz expat going further to explain that a nz expat is who have been out of NZ for more than 2 years yet on the site it says a nz expat is someone who has been out of NZ for more than 5 years ... that's confusing should my wife tick Yes to that since on the same form it says more than 2 years?
Anyone with a successful resident application both offshore and onshore(especially offshore) can you please share your experience and tell me what docs you provided , unsuccessful please share with me too your experience I'll love and will appreciate who ever took their time to write me ..

    Yes, go with the form.

The paragraph on the website talking about 'more than five years' is telling you that IF that is the case, the ex-pat's partner may be able to get PR straight away. As I understand it, you're just applying for partner-sponsored Residence at the moment.

Here are old threads with discussion and examples of the evidence needed. https://www.google.com/search?source...10.BWBxBxm0xh0

Here https://www.enz.org/forum/showthread...560#post576560 is a recent post - the last paragraph tells what this person did for the timeline of their relationship.

On top of that, for each application, I've also done a separate timline with photos that I've arranged in Word in chronological order and safed as a pdf. I've tried to include lots of photos of us in different locations (traveling to china, running half marathon) and with as many different people as possible (friends, family etc.). Tried to do at least a photo a month.

Also, good idea to create a list and organise evidence in different categories and have a few for each ot the categories.
    Comething like this:
Finances (statements, insurance, utility bills etc)
Living arrangment (contract, letters from landlod, other),
communication between each other (facebook, watsapp, txts, calls),
Public recognition (letters from fam & friends, invintations, photos, timeline)
Other correspondence (tickets, boarding passes, any mail you to get together or separately to the same adress)

    Hope this helps.
