Permanent Residency as a Store/Retail Manager under franchise Business i.e. New World, Pac n sav, Four Squaew

Hey Everyone

I was wonderinf if anyone has recently applied for residency through a franchise business in retail? because normally these days they say its impossible to get it. I am working at a Four Square in Gisborne which is under foodstuffs.

You will presumably looking at residence - PR is a different visa that it's possible to qualify for after at least two years as a resident.

It's all down to whether or not YOUR job and YOUR qualifications and experience meet the requirements. There's nothing AGAINST a franchise as an employer in the regulations. Most often on the forum, if someone has had issues with applying as a retail store manager, it's been because they were not actually being left to take full responsibilities as listed under ANZSCO. http://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/abs@....1?opendocument It is difficult for someone who is working alongside the employer to claim or prove that they are really in charge of those activities.

I'll say it will be very tricky to actually match the requirements set in ANZSCO core tasks as most policy is set by the head office of the franchise.

other options is whether to get on the higher income salary threshold or get in other position in the company.

Yes i do understand that its tricky under franchise that is why i wanted to see if there has been someone who got residency through a franchise. Its tough to get into higher income salary bcoz i mean its retail.
What other position can i get into that would be better thn a store manager?
