Default Permanent Residency vs citizenship + how long PRs can stay out NZ?

Hi everyone, I would like to know if there is any other differences apart from: PR cannot represent NZ in national sports , cannot contest in general election etc, can be deported

Also, How long a PRV holder can stay outside NZ ?
Can PRV be revoked under any circumstances?

I wanted to get the latest information regarding these.

The holder of Permanent Residence has the permanent right to enter New Zealand to live and work there. Yes, permanent. If they leave to live elsewhere aged 25 and return aged 100, that's still fine.

The only time PR will be revoked is if an individual is found to have lied and/or used fraudulent/faked evidence to obtain the grant of their visa, or if they have been convicted of serious crime or suspected of being a danger to national security. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/a...ectid=10785607 http://communitylaw.org.nz/community...r-deportation/
