Residency (from accredited employer) visa to Permanent Residency Rejection
Hi guys,
On the 1st October 2018, I received my resident visa which i got it through Work to Residency (Accredited Employer). I handed my resignation letter for my job and my last day of employment will be at the 28th of February 2018.
I also decided to spend 3 months traveling out of NZ to visit and take care of my parents. I plan to come back to NZ after the 3 months of travelling and study part time.
My eVisa states that I must apply for PR after 1st October 2020 date. Is there anything that will cause my PR application to be rejected?

You have to meet the criteria for PR when the time comes - see this page https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-...anent-resident, and the choice of possibilities for showing commitment to New Zealand, here. https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-...zealand/slider
If you meet the criteria, including having been law-abiding during the two years as a resident, it should all go smoothly. Notice that the character requirement is the same as for residence, and, which surprises some people, will be broken by such things as drink- or drugged-driving, also repeated traffic offences. Here is the full list. https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-...sidence/slider
