Default Medical waiver requirements please help.

I been reading a lot from this forum from months now and learn much from others experiences. But I need an advice or similar experiences if any of my case.
I was living overseas with my nz citizen partner. At time I submitted my Partner work visa application, we were living for 10 months with heaps of documentary evidence. Unfortunately, during medical process I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. I had total thyroidectomy immediately and had radioactive iodine treatment. It was only on stage 1 with no metastasis so Im just under medication. We will submit the endocrinologist report soon to medical assesors.
My question is in worst case scenario that I will be declare as not Ash, am I qualified for medical waiver coz we are living more than 12 months now?
But im still hoping that it will be clear by MA. Finger crossed...

It appears that, as long as your proof of partnership is good enough for you to be granted a residence visa as a partner, you would be eligible for a Medical Waiver either for a work visa or a residence visa.

Your medical will definitely be referred, and I expect the MA will require some detailed specialists' reports. Good luck on getting ASH, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a drawn out business. Here is a rather long old thread that tells the story of past forum member who got a partnership residence visa having had the same condition. https://www.enz.org/forum/showthread.php?t=27811

    Thanks heaps, JandM.
Another question. My Kiwi partner receive pension payments from Centerlink. Do he need to declare me as partner? Would NZ immigration has access with Australia Centerlink? Although right now we are completing the form and verbally told them of our relationship. Will NZ assess his financial capacity as part of my visa application although I’m capable of financially supporting our family and hopefully will find employment in NZ just like in Australia.

Sorry, I don't clearly understand what you're asking. If you're applying for a partner-sponsored visa, he has necessarily to fill in the forms supporting the application, because he IS that partner.

Maybe if you look at the factsheets, that will answer what you're wondering, because if you hit 'Evidence', it shows you exactly what is needed for each heading. Yes, you need to tell Centrelink he is now in a domestic partnership. Anything that will impact his benefits needs to be declared or it will constitute fraud.

As far as his finances and supporting your visa application, if you look at INZ1146, the sponsor form, they do not request financial information from him.

I hope someone out there will enlighten me about my queries.
    1. For the medical waiver requirements, Im now living with my nz citizen partner for 11 months and 1week and I had recent thyroidectomy, am I eligible for medical waiver even if we lived together for less than a year?
    2. Can I apply for visitors cisa even I have a pending work visa? My partner went back to New Zealand to renew his passport but unfortunately became so ill that he cannot travel back to live with me again overseas. So Im having option to just apply for tourist visa while waiting for work visa, is it possible?
    Thanks

As long as you keep collecting evidence that you are maintaining your relationship (by phone, internet messages, maybe money sent from one to another showing up in your bank accounts, one of you buying things that both of you will use, etc.), following on from the evidence that you WERE living together over that length of time, the time since he went back will be adding on to your proof of partnership. You will have got, or will be getting, your 12 months' evidence.

You are extremely unlikely to get a visitor's visa while waiting for a work visa, no. A visitor's visa is ONLY for people meaning to make a short trip, then intending to go back to ordinary life (job, home, responsibilities) in another country. Your partner-sponsored application shows that you DON'T want to leave, but to stay on and make a life in NZ, so a visitor's visa application would obviously not be bona fide. https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-...tity/bona-fide
