I've just asked (via email) one of the SMC team manager's at Manukau for info on what date the applications were lodged that they are currently allocating to case officers - will update here when I hear back.

Immigration Manager of the SMC Manukau team has confirmed that they are allocating applications from "early October" now (no specific date in October sorry!).

CO not necessarily email when he/she is assigned your case I suppose. So even if u guys have not been contacted does not mean that work is not being done on ur case. They usually contact whenever they require some information. So no email from them is a good sign and it means ur case is smooth I think. Chill out ya all and be patient
