NSC- National Security Check-1209 form for SIlver fern job search visa

Dear ,

Previously NSC 1209 was for residence visas only. In case this is requested for SILVER FERN JOB SEARCH Visas too then VISA process will be completed in 5-7 months ?

As, time frame for Silver fern job search visa (SFV JS) is 47 or 59 days - almost two months. Please share your thoughts ...

INZ can require the NSC to be carried out for any application, not just residence.

If you do a Search on the forum for NSC, you will find that it takes as long as it takes, largely dependent on how soon the foreign government gets round to replying to the NZ government's request for information. INZ is not involved in this check, and has no control over it. The INZ CO working the application has to wait for the outcome of the NSC before being able to proceed with the case.

That means that all estimates on the INZ website about the time processing will take are irrelevant.
