    Default Specialist report on Anemia

Does anyone know exactly what tests and checks are involved when MA asks for a "Specialist report on Anemia" . In our case Anemia is due to low Iron.

    Thank you

The MA needs a doctor to investigate and pronounce on WHY this person's system has low iron - the underlying cause - and state what treatment is recommended, and the likely outcome.

Thanks JandM, Can a GP or Family doctor provide this report or it has to be a specialist? If a specialist then what kind of specialist we are supposed to go to? Hematologist ?

As it says 'specialist', it needs to be a specialist, and/but I think it would be up to your GP to decide what kind of specialist you should be referred to. The GP probably will have some idea of what the cause of this symptom will be, and that will be the basis of his/her judgement. (You say the cause is low iron, but beyond that there will be the further question of WHY the system is low in iron.)
