So here's my final post and timeline in this thread as my application was just approved!
May 16th, 2023 - Application submitted and fee paid
August 29th, 2023 - INZ requested my passport and extra evidence for the previous 3 months
September 15th, 2023 - Visa granted (ahh!)
I first posted in this forum sometime in 2020, asking for information about critical purpose visas. It's so good to know now that I can stay in New Zealand for good. Best of luck to everyone waiting for their decisions or preparing to apply - you got this!
Hi I have applied partner of New Zealand residency for my wife through online.
4 April 2023 file received and conformation received
16 July case officer allocated but still haven’t received any email asking more documents
Still waiting for any update is this normal
There's nothing ABnormal in this. 1. The CO will be dealing with other cases in rotation with yours. 2. S/He may have sent out queries to other people, verifying your application, and be waiting for their replies. S/He will be in touch whenever there is anything needed from you.
I suspect it's due to the large amount of 2021 resident visa holders. Could be wrong though.
Hi, everyone! Yesterday marked three months since I submitted my application. I know there's still a long time to go, but I was wondering if there's anyone who applied around June or July this year and has already heard from their CO?
Hey everyone. I wanted to update my timeline:
15th April 2023 - application lodged
20th April 2023 - INZ sent a confirmation letter
28th July 2023 - Case Officer assigned
18th December 2023 - CO asked for additional proof of living together for the past 3 months. I submitted them on the same day.
So now we wait I was so happy to receive a letter from my CO requesting more documents.
Completely didn't expect to share the final update this soon!
23/07/2023 - Application lodged
23/11/2023 - CO reached out to request updated evidence of us living together
11/01/2024 - Visa approved
I'm beyond excited! Fingers crossed for everyone who's currently still waiting for the approval
