Has any one contacted INZ via email recently? Just looking at time frames as emailed on the 6/1 and still to hear nothing back! I can guess they’re clearing through the backlog from Christmas and maybe even before!

Applied in September so just seeing for any updates but realistically know I probably won’t hear anything until March/April time but my current visa expires in April so wanting clarification on interim visas etc.

Second person check. When the case officer is ready to recommend a decision on an application, another case officer will check the original case officer's work for any errors and omissions. Think of it as quality control.

2pc is an abbreviation for "second person check" - the routine part of processing any visa application when the CO who has worked the case passes the whole thing over to another CO who looks it over for errors and/or omissions. Each case has to be passed by the 2pc official before an outcome can be notified to the applicant.
