I applied on 31st JANUARY 2020
Requested further documents on the 9th of March 2020
CO assigned 27th July 2020
Requested further informations on the 30th of July 2020 (more info on genuine and stable relationship, clarification of previous wedding status, and clarification of timeline)
Submitted requested documents on the 3rd of August 2020
CO replied me on the 21th August 2020: application is on 2 PC queue, waiting time 3-4 weeks.
26th August: APPROVED

Do you mind sharing what clarifications they asked about your past marriage and timeline? I'm asking because this is also my current situation.

Are they strict about the timeline? Like 2 months of the gap is too short to have another partner?

I'm hoping to go to NZ soon on a Critical Purpose Visitor Visa, does anyone know if my residency application moves to the onshore queue once I arrive?

The Critical Purpose Visitor Visa has been introduced to deal with the situation during the closure of the borders, so hardly anyone has had them. I haven't so far heard of anyone else's experience that might serve as a precedent. But I think, logically, your case would be eligible to be moved, and/but you might have to point that to INZ to get it done.

True, these are very unprecedented times. My partner's there, we've been apart for months because of Covid so I'm hoping to rejoin him once the new exemptions are in place.
