    Default Work Visa via Partnership Visa

    Hello! I sponsored my ex partner last year with a work visa. We're both in different relationships now and I plan to sponsor my current partner for a work visa in the near future. Would this be possible or do we have to wait five years? I am unsure if the 5 years only referred to residence sponsorship. Thanks!

    F2.10.10 a i. https://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/#46176.htm It refers to Residence.

    However, if your previous partner still has a visa based on partnership with you, this may show up in INZ records and block any new application with you as a sponsor. That visa should have been cancelled when the relationship broke up.
