@Rease did you apply for an essential skills work visa based on ITA?

No — I am already working in NZ on a work visa, and my partner is in NZ on a partner visa. But he applied for residence under the SMC category, and we applied to have my work visa and his partner visa renewed because the processing time for the SMC application is many months, and my work visa would expire before a decision is made. In order to ensure it wouldn’t expire, we had to apply for them to be renewed. It’s been an expensive year.

06 Mar 2019 EOI Selected
09 Mar 2019 ITA letter received
08 Jun 2019 ITA documents sent
13 Jun 2019 ITA documents delivered

Long wait just started....

Just wanted to alert you — it took nearly a month before my status changed from Pending to Lodged! So, don’t get discouraged. It just takes along time, unfortunately.

Online approval yesterday, I don’t know how it happened so quickly. I hope that others on these forums are as lucky. Just waiting for official word from INZ and starting the second stressful process, moving overseas.
