    Default Post Study Work Visa

    Hi,
I am on my first year of Post Study Work Visa which will expire on September 2019.

If I apply for my next 2 years Post Study Work Visa soon, is it gonna be a 2 years extension from September? Or the start date will be just earlier?

My concern is am I going to lose 4 months of my current work visa?

    Thanks

In our experience before yes we did lose months when we shifted from post study work visa to post study work visa employer assisted (gone now). I would probably apply later as post study work visa processing times are shorter compared to other work visas. Make sure too that if ever you get interim visa, you will get work rights on your interim visa conditions.

My first year post study work visa was expiring in Feb and I applied for extension of further 2 years in Jan. I was given interim visa but the further extension was approved on the expiry date of 1st year post study work visa. I guess it takes less than a month to extend it.
