@charcharbinks Hahaha you mean
According to the manager of the Documentation office (where mail is opened and applications are lodged), it's currently taking her team 4 weeks to lodge SMC applications. They are due to do overtime this weekend, so this timeframe may reduce by next week - but count on payment being deducted and acknowledgement emails/letters being received during this month if you lodged in June.
@EGoodhue
Fee deducted from my account guys..
Updated the timeline in my signature.
Update today from INZ Manukau Immigration Manager: it's taking 213 days (or 7 months & 1 day) for them to allocate SMC applications to a CO from lodgement date (they are allocating applications lodged on 7 December 2018 to Immigration Officers today).

My credit card has been charged, got a notification that original docs will be returned. this means my file will on a queue and have a sloooow crawl to an immigration officer's desk.
to reduce my anxiety levels, I should stop visiting/reading immigration forums. time to focus on other things in life and try to "forget" about this whole SMC visa thing
I'll see ya'll on the next update! goodluck to all of us!
