    Default Health Data & Confidentiality

Does anyone know in how far immigration is able to access health data which has been documented/stored by for example your GP? Is there a general database, that they can just access? For example when you had the flu and you go to your doctor to get meds, can they look that up?

I am wondering as I have been to a physio lately and he tried to access some x-rays of me online saying there was some sort of "pool" for that? [He did not find them, because the xrays were taken by a panel physician, but yet this means people can just look up your data online? O_o ]

Coming from a country where this is a nono I am a bit put off to be honest. Maybe I got it wrong, please enlighten me.

From this and other online legal sources, it appears that medical professionals have some shared access to what other professionals have recorded, but it is not disclosed to other people or agencies.
