Yes, I think so, because you'd have to prove that you "need specialist, technical or management expertise to do" the job, and exactly in what way. To take a ridiculously extreme example, suppose you were employed by a stupidly indulgent boss (your godfather, or your best friend, say), who paid you the threshold rate of $37.50 an hour and, for that, only required you to wash his car once a week, it would be hard to convince INZ that you had a skilled job.

It's funny that people in the partnership resident visa topic are complaining it takes 6 months to have a CO assigned to their application. (But at least it is moving forward) Meanwhile SMC applications still have no CO assigned after almost 11 months waiting with absolutely no movement at all.

I think SMC applications are on hold at the moment and govt may be in process of changing its parameters like it has been done for other 6 categories.

Hi, does anyone have a rough idea how long the 2pc queue is? We have been queuing for over 5 weeks now, so was hoping to have been reviewed by now. Online still showing 'Pending' That word will haunt me forever

ITA 3rd Sept 2018.....still waiting for a decision.

We have been told by an LIA who posts here that the actual 2pc only takes 20 to 30 minutes. The waiting time is because there's a date-order queue which your file has to work its way up before it gets its turn for attention. We can't know how many cases are before yours, although recently people have been waiting 4 to 6 weeks, reportedly.

I understand you want to read the future and know the outcome before the time has passed. This isn't possible, though everybody feels the same.
