    Default General Visitor Visa Inquiry

    Hi,

My wife is planning to apply for General Visitor Visa.
But her Partnership based visa got declined twice.
First time - not genuine and stable
Second time - Genuine relationship but not living together

If she apply for a General Visitor Visa - Can immigration officer decline the visa straight away saying she wants to visit me?

    Thanks

Every application is dealt with individually, so the evidence provided will be checked through.

However, the application will bring up on the computer details of your wife's past history and connection with you, so INZ are bound to be looking very carefully to see if she has strong links in her home country, and a place to go back to, because of the Bona Fide requirement. https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-...tity/bona-fide A visitor's visa is NOT a catch-all for a situation when someone doesn't qualify for any other visa - it is meant for temporary trips at the end of which the person will go back to an established life somewhere else (unless INZ decide to grant it in full knowledge).
