Hi there
Need help! My partner has applied for residency partnership and we have provided a Birth Cert (Italian translated) as well as a Family Status Certificate (Italian translated) as the Birth Certificate doesn't have the parents names. Our issue is that the Family Status Certificate, which lists the family members, is based on registered residency at the local mayors office. My partners residency is in Australia, so he is not listed on the Family Status Certificate at all!
So, we don't have any legal document that shows his birth information and his parents names! What do we do?
As far as I can see we can't state that his birth certificate is 'unobtainable' = as we have it, it's just not a "full" cert.
But we also can't provide a document with both his and his parents names? How do we prove this? What kind of official document would we need? A translated letter from the Mayor's office explaining that it's customary not to list the parents names?
To make matters worse, we have been requested the full birth certificate and we have two weeks to provide...even if we could ask for a special certificate with parents names, there's no way we can receive it from italy in order to translate it, certify it, and upload it within two weeks...
Thanks for any help anyone can give.
