Citizenship changes while applying for SMC

Hello everyone,

I am currently doing two things simultaneously: applying for a New Zealand SMC visa (from offshore) and for citizenship of the country I am living in.
It's more likely that the citizenship will be approved before the SMC. In that case, I have to renounce my current citizenship, which has been used to submit the EOI.
Is it OK to do so?

You would have to notify INZ, and prove your new citizenship.
