Default Group Visa but only 1 approved so far

Our visa application for essential work visa, partner visa, dependent child student visa and visitor visa were submitted together on 15th July 2019, I received approval for my ESV when I woke up today but the other 3 are outstanding and i had assumed that we would get all visas together. Has this happened to anyone else and if so how long was the wait from ESV being approved to receiving the other visas. Thanks

Yours would HAVE to be the first, because all the others depend on yours. Now your approval has come through, the others should follow very quickly.

Do you mean because of its taking a long time, or have they raised some problem with her situation?

She has a medical condition where she might never have any symptoms ever but is monitored by hospital just incase so they are intending to refuse her visa unless we can provide further evidence within next two weeks but it isnt looking good.

Don't be too worried yet. I know the time seems very short, though. A few years ago, the NZ government told INZ to set these very short deadlines, thinking that it would speed up processing, but in practice, officials know that it's not possible to magic up evidence in no time flat, especially if it's something which has to come from a third party and/or be sent by mail from overseas. Therefore, if the applicant responds within the time stated, explaining what they have done to get the required evidence - in your case, perhaps you've made a doctor's or specialist's appointment, or written to their secretary asking for a report - they will allow a reasonable time for whatever is necessary to be obtained and provided.

If in spite of such evidence, the MA were to say that she is not ASH (does not have an Acceptable Standard of Health), you would still have the option of asking for a Medical Waiver. Here are some details. https://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/#44864.htm Your CO would tell you if this were necessary. As you're being granted an Essential Skills work visa, you have the argument you can make that your skill is an advantage to the NZ workforce, so admitting your family is a "price" worth paying for getting you. NZ's criterion for regarding some medical conditions as not to be admitted (as you'll see from some of the links off that page) is that they shouldn't cost the NZ Health Service too much, so the point that you need to get your daughter's doctor(s) to stress is that she is not needing medication or treatment, and may well never do so (giving percentages about people with that condition if possible). She might possibly get assessed ASH.

As well as pulling together what paperwork you may already have, you have the right to the time it would take for getting an up-to-the-minute letter from the doctors supervising your daughter, addressing the matters the MA will be paying particular attention to. (Sorry about the waiver - I hadn't noticed it wasn't available for children.) Good luck.
