Update- Mumbai Partnership visa processing

Heartbreaking for partners of work visa and student visa holders-
Immigration New Zealand confirmed it has made a decision to not treat all partnership visa applications equally at Mumbai office. Visa applications not supported by NZ citizens or residents will now go down the queue.

Looks like it was Mumbai office who was behind changes in midst of pile of application and declined majority of application on new guidelines to reduce their backlog.

The visa processing queue had started to pile up with inordinate delays since November 2018, and by mid of 2019, several media reports had started reporting Immigration Minister Iain Lees-Galloway’s displeasure at the delays. Hope they get this solve and make the processing queue fast.
