Apllying for work visa under partnership again for second time. How to answer question have you sponsored before?

Me and my partner is going to apply for another work visa before applying for resident visa. Since the resident visa does not ensure that they will give an Interim visa, we decided to apply for work visa again first. Thing is, there is a question asking, "Have you sponsored before?" It is a bit broad. Technically yes, I did sponsored before but that is my current partner but I am not sure if the question was asking if I have sponsored different partner before in that case no. I don't remember where I read this but I read it before that I have to wait for 5 years to sponsor again if I answered yes. How do I go about this?

There is a statement saying,

If the couple has lived together in a partnership for 12 months or more at the time the application is assessed, a work visa may be granted for the length of the couple's intended stay, up to a maximum of 24 months.

A bit confuse, on my form there is a question about how long is my partner going to stay in NZ. I wanted to put 24 months because me and my partner has been living together for 12 months now. I am not sure though. Is the 24 months the total amount of time my partner can stay here like at all? Or is the 24 months the maximum amount of time we can apply for each application? Me and my partner are at lost.

As you have already had 12 months with a partner-sponsored visa, the next one can only be for 12 months (so you will have had a total of 24 months). INZ expect couples continuing to live together to get a partner-sponsored residence visa to carry on after 24 months on temporary visas.

Of course, as you've been together for at least 12 months, you WOULD already be eligible to apply for partner-sponsored residence. It would be a good idea to keep careful copies of all the evidence you are submitting with this application, because you can use it also for residence. As there are such bad delays for a lot of people, you may want to apply for residence as soon as you can manage, so you are not waiting for the visa to come through when this temporary one is about to run out.
