    Default Renting an accommodation

    Hi all,
My fixed-term employment ended this year and I am on jobseeker support at the moment. I am living in a small apartment with my wife and children. WINZ is paying 45%of its rent. I have to change my accommodation. I have viewed couple of small houses and submitted the tenancy applications to the real estate agents. Unfortunately, my applications could not get through. I am not sure but I assume the estate agencies and landlords probably do not consider applicants on job seeker support. Please share your views.
    Best regards,

I think you need to ask this question of agents/landlords you're thinking of applying to, to avoid wasting your time. A landlord has a choice of what they will or won't accept in a tenant (e.g. smokers, pets, children, how many of either), and job seekers is one of the points, which is put on a form when they put the property up for rent.
