Hi all,
One of the licensed immigration adviser industry groups is gathering data in order to make a case to INZ that there are deliberate delay tactics at play in the processing of SMC applications. They are looking for examples where clients with SMC applications already allocated to an Immigration Officer have experienced instances of:
1. Having more than 1 Immigration Officer assess their SMC application during processing
2. Having an Immigration Officer ask for extra supporting documents, only to have them ask for even more documents again a few weeks later
3. An Immigration Officer supposedly making a decision on their application and send it for a quality check, only to have the Technical Adviser send it back to the Immigration Officer to ask for extra things
4. Having an Immigration Officer ask for extra documents that it doesn't seem are actually required as part of a Residence application
If you have had any of these things happen to you, and you're keen to share and have your experience be part of a submission the industry group is making to INZ, please post details and examples of what has happened and I will pass them on to the organiser of the submission. I promise that no name details will be shared - either real names or even ENZ usernames. It will be completely anonymous - name details are not important here, the point is to highlight to INZ that it appears that strategies to slow the entire process down are being used covertly across the board.
