Hi everyone, what is the process & requirments for applying for an IRD number for a resident class visa? I'm asking to know if aside my passport and my resident Visa if I need any other documents to provide so that I can have this ready.

Here https://www.govt.nz/browse/tax-benef...an-ird-number/ is the IRD page, with links off it telling you what will you need to provide, depending on your exact circumstances.

You need in addition to that, an activated and operational nz bank account, mobile number (where they will send your ird number) and proof of residential address.

@dreamnz2019 proof of functional bank account is not required for those who enter on a resident class visa.

They use a different form IR595 which refers to nothing of the sort.
