    Default A week on Waiheke?

Planning a trip for next year. I have a Waiheke bach booked for a week. Is that too long to spend on one island? I was kind of thinking we would be able to hop over to Auckland to do stuff, but I see it will cost $113 (return) each time. The kids will be 7 and 9 by then. I'm content to sit on the deck and watch boats go by for at least a few days...then I might start getting bored.

I’ve been telling everyone I’m fleeing the country pending the election results. And it appears my old job is currently open..

Several years ago I had a couple of friends stay with me from the UK and they spent 2 days in Waiheke and ran out of things to do and they do not have children so maybe you will need to budget in Auckland. Me myself have never been there so can't provide any help there.
