Partnership Visitors Visa - frustration

It seems currently partnership visitor visa takes about avg. 5 months to process the application. Not of much help, but still sharing the info I have got during the conversation with the INZ customer care. All the best.

Back at the beginning of November 2019 were informed that the tail end of the queue was 4-5 months for PVV
We were surprised to have a CO allocated after just 2 months - and obviously we were very thankful for a seemingly such a short wait!

Our frustrations began after CO allocation...
> request for more evidence / documentation (furnished promptly)
> second request for more evidence / documentation (again furnished promptly).

This followed complete radio silence. Wanting a just a simple update, our LIA (and then even myself) emailed and phoned multiple times daily (for close to 2 weeks) in the hope of a simple dialogue with the CO. Contacting the manager yielded the same response (zero). EGoodhue suggested going upstream and letting them know what was happening.
The following day our LIA received a 'watery' email from our CO ... sincerely apologising for the lack of contact, informing us that they were still actively processing our application - and although they weren't yet ready to make a decision, they were still assessing the documents provided. The emailed ended with .. I hope to have an update for you next week.
This 'wishy washy' email gave us no information whatsoever. Our LIA was not happy ... simply wanting some dialogue Our LIA again attempted to contact the CO (Phone messages and emails - nil response) .....and so we now do what everyone here seems to do, give up and .. WAIT

Garden 365365 are you also waiting on a PVV? How has your experience been to date ?

We have submitted visitor visa application on 20th Jan since then no reply. Based on the Bona fide requirements previous application was rejected. Hope for the approval this time.

Quick update. As per the conversation with immigration customer care services this morning, currently case officer is allocated for the applications that are submitted on 19th Sep 2019.

Sure it cannot be long before you are allocated a CO now Garden365365.
It is very interesting to witness the disconnect between what clients are told via Customer Services enquires, versus what eventuates.
You see regularly on here reports of people having a CO allocated well outside of the reported “end of the queue” > estimated wait time
A lot earlier than informed .... and later.
Wonder how / why thus happens for applications for the same visa type ?

Hang on, I'm missing something entirely. The Ukraine partner is being asked evidence for her employment and income? But the application is for a PVV?

INZ take evidence of employment and finances to base their assessment of whether an applicant has 'incentive' to return back to their home country upon the expiry of a visitor visa. Whether an applicant is a bona fide temporary visitor (not likely to overstay or breach visa conditions) is a significant part of INZ's assessment of all visitor visa applications.
