    Default Changing employer - variation of conditions essential skills visa

    I work in marketing and I have been made redundant. In a normal situation when I find a new employer I need to transfer my visa (as I’m changing my employer). But wondering if this is still the case;
    - does immigration handle the variation of conditions at the moment? If not, can I change jobs without variation of conditions in any sector? And what about if I found a job in the essential services sector?

    Anyone, know the changes for people on an essential skills work visa coming up in the new immigration bill?

    Here https://www.enz.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=47 is a new sub-forum where we have been gathering all the information anyone could find about the differences the Covid-19 regulations have made to INZ's workings. If you look at the Sticky at the top of the listing there, you'll find everything that EGoodhue has been told through the briefings for LIAs - somewhere there you may find something that will help answer your question.

    No, because it hasn't been passed yet, and even when it has, we shall have to wait until specific announcements are made to say exactly what the Minister will do with the new powers he is being granted. Watch here https://www.immigration.govt.nz/abou...-notifications, as this is where genuine announcements appear (as opposed to speculation in the media).
