I got a reply back from case office, after mailing for an update

Your application has been transferred to Immigration New Zealand’s Specialist Assessment Team (SAT) in Porirua, New Zealand for additional verification. You may be requested to provide further information. Once this process has been completed, your application will be finalised. You should be aware that because your application has been transferred to SAT, it is likely the time taken to assess your application will be longer than the published processing timeframes. An Immigration Officer from SAT will be in contact once your application has been allocated.

Does anyone know, how long it is currently taking SAT to complete the assessment?

It's going to be an individual procedure, depending on the applicant's own situation.

How is your case going @Jupiter?
They would not tell you why your case has been transferred to SAT. I am wondering if there is anything/clarification in your application that may cause any concerns? e.g. refused visa or entry by any country etc

My application has been submitted for external third party verification. Not much information available about it on this forum.
Any idea what's that and how long it could take for a someone who have only worked in NZ? @JandM and @EGoodhue
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

My application is submitted for verification as well, but I don't think Mine it is external third party. I can see from my AMS note that my application is referred to INZ verification officer, and I have no idea what they are verifying. Did you know what is your verification about?

Do we just email INZ through there website to request AMS notes or its different process?

also any issues that may arise regarding why AMS notes are requested.

"Risk Assesment" is used by INZ internaly. This term appeared many times on my INZ file on my immigration history when I requested my files under Official Information Act during the time I left NZ and was deemed deported. They are gonna dig into your past work history, health, relationship, criminal, etc. etc. but it depends if they gonna investigate on a specific issue. If you have nothing to hide then don't panic and stay positive. Good luck.
