Resident to Permanent Residence for Kids
Hi,
I am eligible for PR in October this year, my Kids and Wife got residence this year on January only. Is there any chance that my Kids get Permanent Residence based on my PR like they get Citizenship if one of the parent becomes Citizen?
Thanks,
Sarav

No. When partner and children were not part of your original residence application - they applied separately later - they can't be included with your PR. If the children were on your wife's application, then she can qualify for PR on behalf of them all, but if each person applied separately, then they each have to meet the requirements when they have been a resident for two years and can fulfil the other criteria.

For the official word on this, see RV1.20 (specifically RV1.20.5).
