    Default Resident to Permanent Residence

    Hi
Has anyone recently applied for permanent residence? We applied on the 30 July, money was deducted on the 4 August.
We are just worried as hubby has an infringement for using his phone while driving.

    Cheers

If that's ALL he has, one infringement, no convictions, you've no need to worry about his character.

Although it isn't a conviction, so you can say you don't have any convictions, many people, for the sake of showing that they are transparently honest, say 'paid infringements only'.

    Congratulations!
And thanks so much for the update on your timeline, very useful for recent applicants!

I applied on 7 August, money hasn't been deducted yet. Think another backlog is coming with the current lockdown.

    Hi All,
Below is my partner timeline for Residence to Permanent Residence Visa.

    Application sent - 14 July 2020
    Money deducted - 17 July 2020
    Application received email - 18 July 2020
    Received passport back - 04 Aug 2020

After that, waiting for email from INZ. We believe due to Level 3 Lockdown since 12 Aug at Auckland, the application processing is bit delayed. Fingers Crossed and good luck everyone.
As per the INZ website, latest application processing time for 90% application is 49 days. I know some applications are processed faster than others but every case is different and handled at its own pace. Let's Wait.

    Regards
    Danny
