Default Skilled migration in New Zealand

    Hi everyone,
My friend is willing to apply for skilled migration in New Zealand. He is wondering if he is eligible to apply. I am copying his questions in here:

" Hi, I want to immigrate New Zealand, below the details of my present situation

    Age: 37 Y
    Education: Graduate in Mechanical Engineering
    Working experience: 13 Y+
    Working post: Plant Operator
    Passport: Bangladesh
Present Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirate
    Partner: Age: 29 Y
    Education: Graduate in Economics
    Working Experience: No
    Children: Boy- 8 Y, Grade 3
    Girl- 5 Y (Special baby)

    Question:
    1. How many points I can claim?
    2. For my special baby is there any restriction to be immigrated to New Zealand?"

Please feel free to ask questions if required. Many thanks.

He should also notice that no EOIs are being accepted at the moment from people outside New Zealand. The borders are closed because of the pandemic, and it's impossible to foresee when free international movement will resume.

Thanks JandM. I was not aware that EOIs are not being accepted now. We are just hoping the borders will open within a year or two. In the meantime, he can prepare for application.
