    Doesn’t seem like a whole lot to me! Presence, character & language;

    Presence from travel movements & visa status

    Character NZ agencies check unless you’ve lived overseas recently which seems unlikely

    Language in interview, employer doc etc or test results

    Yes, correct. Most of the checks would already have been done when the applicant got a Residence visa. These are routine checks and this is shown by quick approval of the in-person applicants. They also have a major discrepancy between the processing of in-person and online applications.

    Interesting you said that, as I and the OP applied in person and heard nothing so far...
    On the other hand, there are few people posting here with approval come within 3 weeks.
    There is also an applicant got approval in 5 working days.

    I'm not aware.
    Seems like people that applied in June are getting their approvals this month.
