I just submitted my NZ Citizenship application

According to: https://www.govt.nz/browse/passports...z-citizenship/

It takes 7 to 12 months to find out if your application is approved.

So, I created this thread also for everyone who has submitted their Citizenship application in 2021, please share your timeline here and let's update each other here

All the best for your applciation I ahve a question, Did the tool for the 'Presence Calculator' (https://dia.services.govt.nz/presence-calculator/) show you that you were eligiable (if you applying before the 5 years mark)

According to my calculations I should be able to apply the 10/08...

We just applied over the weekend - it's before the 5-year mark for us, and yes, the presence calculator said we were good to go.

I applied in person - the officer simply removed these pages (1-8) when I brought the whole form in.

So I wouldn't actually worry about any of that on page 2.

The real form only starts from page 9. The first question you need to fill is

1. What is your full name?

Yes it does, before applying I rang the DIA and after 30 mins of waiting, I spoke with them and they said yes we can apply before 5 years mark, provided:

• at least 240 days in each 12-month period we're in the country, and
• been in the country for 1,350 days across that 5 years.

So, I think the calculator is accurate enough.

I applied in Jan, 2021 in person & still waiting.

I applied March 2021 online and waiting.

Currently they are processing Aug 2020 applications.
