Hi, They will certainly look in to this but I do not see a problem, 66 is not too bad and as you say no other complications.

If you click on this link then on HBA1C you will see that you need to be referred to an endocrinologist if it is over 80mmol. As their's is 66 they will just rely on the GP report so I feel no problem here, just my opinion but being type1 myself I had no problems just the usual medical waiver.

Each case is taken on its own merits so best just submit reports and see what they say

When a medical arrives, it's first checked by computer. Anything marked outside the norms by the doctor will mean it gets referred to be looked at by humans. In the first phase, this is just to apply common sense, for instance, a human knows that some result 0.001 over a normal score doesn't matter, but a computer just goes, 'Alert! Not normal.' However, if the check reveals that there really is an illness or condition, the medical will be referred to the Medical Assessors, whose job is to understand the applicant's state of health - can they be treated and/or cared for without costing the NZ Health Service too much money. The MA has the power to ask for further reports or more explanations from the applicant's own doctor or specialist, or to require them to see another (if it's a complicated situation). Diabetes at the level you're talking about isn't complicated - the treatments are well known and acceptable. To speed matters up, and with luck, pre-empt the MA's questions, you can send a GP's report to INZ, quoting the eMedical number and all personal details so it can be connected up with the medical itself. There's usually a bit of a date-order queue for medicals to be looked at, so by the time the MA selects that case from the front of the queue, the answer to the questions s/he would ask will be there all ready. Lots of people have done this. Good luck.

You recently had a health examination as a requirement for your New Zealand visa application. At that time you let us know that you would like to receive an email notification if we require further information from you.
This is an automatically generated email from eMedical as part of that notification. Immigration New Zealand (INZ) is a licensed user of eMedical. The Australian Department of Home Affairs (Home Affairs) owns and hosts the eMedical system, and holds your personal information for the sole purpose of processing it for INZ. Home Affairs respects your privacy and has obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 (Australia).
INZ needs some more health information from you
You have had a health examination as a requirement for your New Zealand visa application. Immigration New Zealand (INZ) now needs some extra health information to complete our assessment.
How to provide your extra health information
Please contact an INZ panel physician to find out:
what extra information we need; and
where you should go to get this extra information (You may not need to attend your panel physician again. Some tests can be performed by panel physicians, some cannot).

For a list of approved panel physicians see the INZ website.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we strongly recommend that when you contact the INZ panel physician you find out:
if they currently carry out any immigration screening; and
if you can schedule an appointment; and
whether it’s safe for you to visit their clinic in person.

When you contact the physician, you will need to give them the following information so they can confirm your identity:
Your New Zealand eMedical reference number: NZER: N001222636 or
Your Immigration New Zealand Health Case Reference number: NZHR: HR1673455
The details of the identity document you provided during your examination.

Once you have your further medical information
If you access further medical information or undertake further tests through a panel physician then this panel physician can upload the results directly to INZ via eMedical.
If you get further medical information from another source, such as a treating GP or a specialist, then you can email this information once you have it, to inzhealth@mbie.govt.nz or to your designated immigration officer.
What if you decide not to provide the extra health information?
If you decide not to provide the extra health information we need, it may delay the processing of your visa application. You should still submit your visa application, if you have not done that already.
Once we have received your visa application, we will contact you if we have any concerns or need more information about your health.
If you decide not to submit a visa application, you can ignore the rest of this email.
    Your visa application
Please submit your visa application to INZ as soon as possible.
Important: You need to submit your visa application within three months of your health examination completion date. If you do not submit it in time, you will have to undergo a further health examination.
If you need more information about visa applications, see the INZ website.
You can request a copy of your health examination
If you want a copy of your health examination, contact the panel clinic where you had your examination and tell them your New Zealand eMedical reference number NZER.
