Diabetes for post study work visa

Hello Everyone I have a question as one of my friend has been found diabetes in blood and he just finished his study and going to apply post study work visa will this affect his visa afflication .Also his doctor gave certificate which shows he has no damahed any part of body .and medication will be given to him for diabetes and all is in control .also does this diabetes condition affect residence visa afflication ??? HBA1C IS 66

Hi, They will certainly look in to this but I do not see a problem, 66 is not too bad and as you say no other complications.

If you click on this link then on HBA1C you will see that you need to be referred to an endocrinologist if it is over 80mmol. As their's is 66 they will just rely on the GP report so I feel no problem here, just my opinion but being type1 myself I had no problems just the usual medical waiver.

Each case is taken on its own merits so best just submit reports and see what they say

When a medical arrives, it's first checked by computer. Anything marked outside the norms by the doctor will mean it gets referred to be looked at by humans. In the first phase, this is just to apply common sense, for instance, a human knows that some result 0.001 over a normal score doesn't matter, but a computer just goes, 'Alert! Not normal.' However, if the check reveals that there really is an illness or condition, the medical will be referred to the Medical Assessors, whose job is to understand the applicant's state of health - can they be treated and/or cared for without costing the NZ Health Service too much money. The MA has the power to ask for further reports or more explanations from the applicant's own doctor or specialist, or to require them to see another (if it's a complicated situation). Diabetes at the level you're talking about isn't complicated - the treatments are well known and acceptable. To speed matters up, and with luck, pre-empt the MA's questions, you can send a GP's report to INZ, quoting the eMedical number and all personal details so it can be connected up with the medical itself. There's usually a bit of a date-order queue for medicals to be looked at, so by the time the MA selects that case from the front of the queue, the answer to the questions s/he would ask will be there all ready. Lots of people have done this. Good luck.

So do i need to go for this test or should wait immigration officer email if he needs or nor As i already submitted GP REPORT with application ???
