Question What's the difference between NZ Post, CourierPost and New Zealand Couriers

I recently have a 22 kg parcel to be sent from Onehunga to Auckland central.

Really I want to find a same day service.

But I entered up at nzpost.co.nz, signed up an account.

    "My NZ Post Business"
After I enter the both addresses, it shows only overnight option available under Courier

This is what I am confused about:
What's the difference between NZ Post, NZ Post's "Courier", CourierPost and New Zealand Couriers.

I know DHL, FedEx are completely different companies, but these four above use similar colours and terms.

    Anyone know?

    Ps:

NZ Post made some changes as of 1 July 2021. It's all been streamlined on their website, and in terms of services offered. CourierPost had been NZ Posts courier service, now simply known as "Courier" in their offerings. Here is an article about it: https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/125...courier-brands

New Zealand Couriers is a separate company, just like DHL and FedEx.

Thanks for the reply and the link for stuff.
I am glad to know that I am not the only person who found the branding and terms confusing.

When sending parcels around 2 kg within New Zealand, which company do you normally use?

I don't send a lot of parcels, but those I receive are generally sent via DHL or NZ Post.

There is Post Haste, too, and I noticed Aramex vans recently.

Out of the four you mention only New Zealand Couriers are not connected to the others. I always use NZ Post/Couriers and have never had any problems
