    Default ‘Third Party Verification’

    Hi
Why INZ has not mention anything about third party verification anywhere on any document. Why don’t they do it at the the time of lodgement.
I am waiting 4 month now.how come it takes so long to do verification.
Anyone have insight on “Third party Verification”.
    Thanks

Sections 5.76 to 5.85 in this parliamentary document https://oag.parliament.nz/2009/immig...me-1/part5.htm give the official attitude to this matter.

Have you been told third party verification of that kind is being used on your application?

Another way the term gets used is discussed/explained on this old thread, which may be of some help. https://www.enz.org/forum/showthread.php?t=54498

The lodgement team merely checks that the requirements for your application to be lodged are met. Assuming this is for a residence class visa application, this is RV2.40 (for most of them, but applicants for a variation of travel conditions on an existing residence class visa, a second or subsequent residence class visa, or a permanent resident visa, would need to look at RV1.10.10 instead).

Determining the application is the job of the Immigration Officer assigned to your application. It's at this point that the evidence is verified, and in your case, the Immigration Officer has determined that verification with third parties is necessary.

That, unfortunately, is all that we can tell you. It's impossible for us to know exactly what verification is being undertaken (this is all dependent on your own circumstances and what needs verifying), and it's also impossible to tell you how long this will take (different agencies respond at different rates). The one thing I can tell you is that, unless you receive a PPI letter, don't stress about it too much.
