Default Applying for Residency for dependent child - no custody order from birth country

    Hi,

    I'm a New Zealand resident.
When I applied for residency I declared my daughter but did not include her in the residency application as I did not have a document to prove that I had custody of her.
Her dad is also in New Zealand on a work visa and it is likely that he will now get residency anyway due to the new residency scheme.

I want to apply for a dependent child resident visa now for my daughter.
I still don't have a custody document as my divorce in our birth country is not resolved yet.

My question is can I use a parenting plan document that both parents signed and a statutory declaration from her dad saying that he agrees for her to reside permanently in New Zealand as evidence and submit her application?
or will I need to get more legal documents such as a parenting order?

    Thanks

F5.20 and F5.25 in the operational manual should answer your questions.
