It would be interesting to hear a NZ politician's reaction to that...

Hold on the processed table in the FYI request was only for Auckland. Still probably 40% of applications but not as bad as it seemed. Would be good to have total processed, I’ll go through FYI requests a bit more later.

They reply within 2-3 business days.

Just include all of your details in the first email: full name, country of birth, passport number, DOB, your child's name, current address, phone number, email and application reference number.

I think those who applied in-person or by post will get responses from the DIA by post, and those who applied online will get responses from the DIA by email.

    Hi Catash,

Love, Prayers and Condolences to the family.

Since you mentioned you did not received email or mail, below is the email I received

Are you planning on travelling overseas?
If you need to travel overseas before you become a New Zealand citizen, you must:
    • use your current passport or travel document, and
    • contact us immediately to let us know your travel dates.

If your certificate is sent to you while you are overseas you may have trouble coming back to New Zealand on your current passport.

If you are planning on travelling overseas within the next 2 months or you will be overseas when we send your certificate, please email CitizenshipCeremonies@dia.govt.nz or call us on 0800 22 51 51 (NZ Only) + 64 04 462 0651 (from overseas) immediately.

I suggest you have to call them regarding your situation

    Hope it helps
    A
