Hello Team
I called DIA yesterday if I could get an update on the status of my application. The reply was , it can only be given by a case officer . When I asked if I have a case officer the reply was the same . Does this mean I have a case officer or is it a standard reply .
Applied in April 2022
I applied online in April 2022 as well, and emailed them two weeks ago about the Birth Certificate ( I misread the requirement on the website and uploaded the national ID instead in my application). No response yet.
I think the process has been really slow these two last months.... or is only me thinking this!
A few lucky people that applied online in AUG or NOV 2021 had their responses.... but there are not updates/comments from people that did their applications in person/paper
somethimes I would like to have more information...
I am just venting - Sorry guys....

Thanks for your info. Maybe I will get a reply next week.
Hey HT, you asked Azure quite a few questions but never really followed up. Were you hoping they changed the name and didn't inform DIA until later and you can follow suit?
Also, has DIA explained to you why you're supposed to tell them right away and not after approval?
Hi Michael, I was just tryna find out at what stage Azure changed his name that he still got through the automated checks… I was thinking if his application was still straightforward enough to get through automated checks after a name change, maybe it wouldn’t really complicate one’s citizenship application and I should just change my name.
DIA wouldn’t have to explain why they need me to inform them of my name change request asap because they already blanket that any change of our situation during citizenship application would need reporting to DIA asap and I understand that.
