You have to give DIA your travel dates and when you are back in the country. Again they are super helpful and responsive! I did enquire when my certificate will be printed and it is next week![]()

Hi guys, hope you all are keeping warm and happy long weekend!
For people who have been following my situation and giving their knowledge to answer my questions, I just want to share the good news that our application was approved last Friday and the printing date is next week. Hadn't even decided on what to do with our name change
Perhaps will get on with name change straight away after printing date then the passport
Thank you all for the knowledge sharing, advice and comfort that you've given me. Wish you all all the best in life![]()
Congratulations.
Just a quick update on my application processing...
26 July 2021 Applied in person in Christchurch
16 June 2022 Email confirming details
23 June 2022 Request for more information related to place of birth (official birth certificate does not list city, only county and state)
As we are heading into a holiday weekend, and my statutory declaration needs to be signed by a JP, I can't conveniently get it off to them until Tuesday.
But my application is slowly moving along!![]()
do we get confirmation mail that certificate is printed, im waiting for it
Some people do, some people don't. If you got contacted via email by your CO before, you could send them an email and ask for your printing date. Otherwise, give DIA a call, they can check and let you know.
One thing to note is that after your application is approved, it will be handed over to Citizenship Ceremonies to arrange printing and courier so the confirmation lies with Citizenship Ceremonies.

I wonder about the numbers for applications submitted in May 2021.
