Applied online: 5th of January 2022
First contact from CO to confirm details: 30 January 2023
Additional documents required: 15th February 2023
Approval Email received: 23rd February 2023

Hello Mate ,
So have you got the invitation for March 22 ceremony. Did you get any update? How long does one have before conditional one expires?and within that timeframe if the district council could not arrange a ceremony date do we have to reapply and again we have to spend the fees?

HI yes, i have received the official invitation for 22nd March. Every council have set dates for ceremony and they send it to DIA, and then DIA allocate people so that they are invited, if someone is not able to attend to a invited ceremony they will be invited to next one provide they let DIA know.

My home address is Auckland CBD so assuming it's being assigned to the Auckland Central ceremony. You can probably call and ask DIA?

Hi, I have a question regarding citizenship, while waiting for 5 years to complete to be eligible, can I apply permanent resident in any other country? Also if I marry Australian resident/citizen does that affect my NZ citizenship eligibility? Not sure where to post this but good to know if someone had same experience and still got NZ citizenship. Thanks
