Visa for relative?
Hi
We want to bring my Aunty to NZ to help take care of our twin babies. What type of visa should I apply for to get her to stay as long as possible without renewing it frequently. We both have NZ residency. Thanks in advance

Be careful. Child care, even within the family, even without monetary payment being involved, counts as work https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-...ng-new-zealand, so someone stating to INZ that they wanted a visa to do this would require a work visa. https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-...k-visa-options
If your aunt comes on a family visit, then she will need a visitor's visa. Details are here. https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-...t/visitor-visa
Notice, there are still restrictions on travel to NZ at the moment, because of the pandemic. https://covid19.govt.nz/travel/inter...o-new-zealand/

Thank you, that's what I thought. I have been asking around from family that brought relatives here, and it seems like a visitor visa is the best option.

I heard visitor visa will open in April 2022. Hope this does not get postponed.
