Default Tests for Future visa applications

    Hi there

If someone got this email from the CO last time when there long duration visit visa was approved. (This particular visa requires full medical)

“For your medicals, we have received the reply from our medical assessor. The medical assessor's referral has come back as Acceptable Standard of Health (ASH) with conditions.

Further test/report for further review with next application :
For the next visa application the following condition(s) will require additional information: Elevated Hba1c-this requires these tests: repeat Hba1c, BP and reportd ECG”

Does this “next application” means now if we need to apply a short term visit visa that doesn’t normally require any medical, we still need to provide these tests or its meant for only those visa’s where medical is required?

    Thank you

An immigration officer may request a Medical Certificate and a Chest X-ray Certificate to be provided for any temporary entry class visa application if this is considered necessary to ascertain whether or not the applicant has an acceptable standard of health, despite any provisions exempting the applicant from having to provide a Medical Certificate or a Chest X-ray Certificate to support a temporary entry class visa application (A4.25(g))

In your instance, the recommendation from the INZ medical assessor is a documented risk factor (A4.25(i)(iii)) that indicates that the applicant should be asked to provide an updated Medical Certificate or Chest X-ray Certificate even if not otherwise required.
